The qualitative face-to-face interview involves holding individual meetings with certain selected customers to take an in-depth look at their satisfaction and dissatisfaction, along with causes, expectations, the context in which they use your products and services, the way they perceive the competition, etc.

This data collection technique is usually aimed at:

  • businesses who want to focus their concern on a certain type of customer (e.g., Key Accounts, most profitable customers, developing customer segments, etc.)
  • businesses with a limited customer portfolio, especially in B2B
  • and generally speaking, complex issues requiring in-depth, detailed information for their analysis
